Grand Teton National Park is located in Northwestern Wyoming just South of Yellowstone National Park along Highway 89. It is the only national park with a commercial airport located within it's boundaries, and the sights from the air as you land are spectacular. The Teons offer some of the most beautiful mountain views in the American West. Lots of wildlife can be seen including elk,moose, squirrels, mule deer and many birds, including eagles and opreys. Visitors are able to enjoy great hiking trails in many areas especially around Jackson Lake and Jenny Lake. The sharp jagged peaks are also very popular with skiers and snowboarders at Jackson Hole and white water rafting down the beautiful Snake River is a must do trip. Great camping spots can be found right near the shore of Jackson Lake offering great sunset views. There is also a great network of mountain bike trails in the surrounding area. Moose can frequentlyly be seen at the Willow Flats area and a 4000 member herd of elk, (largest in the world) is supported here as the herd moves around the park in summer.
